Hello! I'm back from my road trip, it was a beautiful journey. I haven't had time to process any photos

Note: I figured out my colour problem. It's not with PS nor Photobucket. My apologies to both. It's actually with Firefox, if you open the same page with a photo in both Firefox and Safari you'll see the difference. For some reason Firefox sucks out the life out of colour photos.

This is another photo from the photo scavenger hunt. This was an open clue/theme: H2O. It won best overall photo, which is great because we took it in a bit of a rush about half an hour before we had to hand over our memory cards. Comes to show it's always worth to take that one last shot. May '07

Last Sunday, Maja and I participated in a photographic scavenger hunt around Toronto, it's called Shoot Experience. The theme was water, we received clues, 5 hours to collect photographs that answered the clues and then there were prices for the best photos. We managed to snatch two of them. This photo didn't win but I really liked it, especially now that I've played with it in PS, which wasn't allowed for the contest. May '07

It's been a while since I updated. I've been busy with my summer school courses and went away last weekend to Oso's cottage up in Muskoka. One afternoon we took the boat to the lake next door and got to this beach, from there we walked into the forest and found this beautiful swap, bathed in sweet light. That is Oso in the photo, playing the penny whistle, which you can't see. The magical beauty lasted only for so long since the mosquitoes and black flies soon decided it was time for us to leave. May '07

I loved this little girls pin, she was sitting with her friend at the bus stop in Cahuita (on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica) just as my friend Maja and I were waiting for our bus to go back to the capital. I debated in my brain whether to get my camera or not. I'm glad I did, and I think she liked posing too. Aug '06

This is another photo from the inside of the Havana car when I got a ride from the airport to the city back in April. This was taken when we were at the police station because the driver was charged a fine ($2) for driving me and Sophia, the Canadian girl married with a Cuban. In Cuba you have to have a special permit to have tourists in your car, even if they are married to your best friend. Ridiculous. April '06

NOTE: I love when you can see the underneath layers of paint in walls and concrete, it's as if the past is making it's come back, bursting through the weaker top layers of paint. Often the colours are contrasting but go so well together.

I heard about it through the photo editor of my university's newspaper, they needed someone to take some photos for an article. The concept is facinating, basically they offer free courses, where the "teachers" and the "students" have an opportunity to share and learn. Yesterday's started a 12-week course on Latin American Politics, which I will continue to attend along with Maja. Jan '07
